Jarrah Gurrie is a Los Angeles & Australian based editor with a diverse range of experience. He began making experimental films in Melbourne's underground scene during the early 2000’s. It was here that he developed his passion for collaboration and storytelling.
Jarrah relocated to New York to attend NYU where he graduated with an MFA in Film & TV. Since then, he has worked as an Editor on a multitude of projects including narrative films, documentaries, commercials, music video’s, installation art and concert visuals.
Features include Five Dances (Palm Springs, Cleveland), Broken Gardenias (Frameline) & Pete Smalls is Dead (Slamdance). He has edited several well received shorts, including Hot Seat (Sundance 2017), The Chair (Cannes, Berlin & SXSW Best Short), La Pileta (Clermont Ferrand) and Burn to Send (Clermont Ferrand). Jarrah also served as editor on the web series’ The Impossibilities (Gotham Award Nominee) and The Chances (Sundance 2017) as well as the Viceland show Twiz & Tuck. He has recently completed work on the Doc series 'Resist' produced by Pulse Films and Black Lives Matter.
